☝️ I want to appeal to everyone once more today. We have become a little complacent. Everything has started – weddings, agitations, as if coronavirus has completely gone. We have to be careful.
? Covid fight has lasted a year. We are eager to find a solution. My intention is not to scare anyone, says Uddhav
? I had spoken about the possibility of another lockdown, the possibility is not over yet.
? We had succeeded in fighting the virus sometime back. Till January-February, many had assumed that we are done with Covid.
? I can say today, we have not avoided that situation entirely. We still haven’t overcome this crisis.
? I cannot rule out imposing a lockdown if the current Covid-19 situation prevails.
?️ “In the next few days, we have to do 2.5 lakh tests everyday. These would be about 70% RT-PCR,” says Uddhav
? There will be no compromise on standards. We are not hiding any data. Not a single case has been hidden.
? The rate at which the cases are increasing, we will run out of our health infrastructure in the next 15-20 days.
??⚕️ Maharashtra CM says, “We are increasing facilities, but even if beds are increased, how shall we increase the number of doctors, nurses.”
? Manpower has been stretched thin. We must all think about them while behaving irresponsibly,” says Uddhav.
? Maharashtra has the capacity of vaccinating 6-7L people in a day. But the vaccine doses supply should also be increased,” says Uddhav
? “I am well aware that lockdown is damaging. But saving lives is the priority,” Uddhav said.
